Workshop on “XFEL Applications in Material Sciences and Nanotechnology”

Workshop on “XFEL Applications in Material Sciences and Nanotechnology”
October 14, 2024

We invite you to participate in the workshop “XFEL Applications in Material Sciences and Nanotechnology,” which will take place on December 5-6, 2024, at the Institute of Physics PAS in Warsaw. Detailed information about the event and the registration form are available on the website https://events.ncbj.gov.pl/event/375/.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge.

The workshop will focus on the use of X-ray free-electron lasers (XFEL) in material research, particularly under high pressures and temperatures, nanotechnology, and magnetism. Invited lecturers will present examples of research using XFEL. The workshop will also be an opportunity for Polish scientists to present their own research results and to discuss new ideas for XFEL applications. We encourage the submission of abstracts for short presentations.

The workshop is organized as part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) project supporting the development of the Polish XFEL scientific community. For more information please visit the project website https://www.ifpan.edu.pl/cd-xfel/ or contact us at cd-xfel@ifpan.edu.pl .
